Cette bibliographie est sélective. Elle privilégie les ouvrages effectivement consultés pour la rédaction de ce livre et les références auxquelles le commentaire renvoie. La littérature secondaire sur l'Évangile de Thomas est immense, un répertoire exhaustif occuperait plusieurs volumes ; les notices ci-dessous fournissent les portes d'entrée principales pour chaque axe de recherche.
